Here are some concepts for weapons of the Chimera from Resistance. I worked for Insomniac Games, but these were not used.

I do see the game so often I felt like doodling with outlines and coming up with a few of my own. Which is your fave?

I really like the "skeletal feel" or "dynamic anatomy" feel the guns have a group.

Lovely intricate designs, but what do they do? I guess I like the one in the lower right cause it looks like it can stab people.

The weapon on the lower right is actually the first (Maybe second?) concept art for the Atomizer in Resistance 3.

I onestly think that the chimera don't have enough weapons in their military. I think that they should have been given more equipment.
